The best of Tramuntana hike -GR221

The GR221; Dry Stone Route - Hiking

On the 27th of August I was involved in a car crash. I
Ill save you all details.

I got temporary out of diving for the dive center ...medical reasons.

For this reason, I decided to make the GR221 in northern Mallorca- Tramuntana region.
Beaches are isolated, villages small and
pittoresque....

All has its charm...

Trail consists of 8 stages:

1. Port d'Andratx to Sant Elm La Trappa 

2. La Trappa to Estellencs 

3. Banyalbufar to Esporles 

4. Esporles to Deia Refuge de Can Boli 

5. Deia (Can Boi) to Port Soller (Muleta) 

6. Port Soller (Muleta) to Refuge Tossals Verds 

7. Refuge Tossals Verds to Lluc (Refuge Son Amer) 

8. Lluc (Refuge Son Amer) to Pollenca (Refuge Pont Roma) 

Day 1 of the GR221 trail; Port dAndratx to La Trappa.

Rock landscapes, ruines, beautiful viewpoints.... elements to get on with life !

Day 2 of GR221. From La Trappa to Estellencs.

Hard to encounter any roadsigns. It was a frustration for all hikers that day... Thats 
a Spanish government issue probably ...

Day 4 of GR 221; From Esporles to Deia

Tracks were unclear. Without gps hard...
Valldemossa is amazing!

 
 

Day 5 of GR221. Dont understand why they put this day...of only 4h in the guidebook. So it was shopping for decent hiking shoes today. And swimming lenghts at the beach... Day 6 of GR221: 9h from Puerto de Soller to Tossal Verds Beautiful stage, started with spicy climb to Puig de l'Ofre, continued with views on barranx (Cuber and Blaux) Day 7 of Gr221. Today I made a circular local trail around s'Alaro castle and Orient. Ready and fresh to head further to St Lluc Sanctuary.... Bewerken Day 8 of GR221: From Tossal Verds to LLuc _Lluc Monastery Visit(Art Collection) _Casas Velhas Actually good feasible on about 5-1/2 h for trained people.
